Our own lincoln longwool sheep and lambskin rugs are one of the most beautiful natural British products you could hope to find.
The beauty and quality of lincoln wool is evident in these unique and luxurious rugs/throws.
In addition, the leather tans to a wonderfully soft and supple backing.
Our skins are hand-salted (by me!) and then dried. The raw hides are then sent to Fenland, a tannery in Somerset which specialises in rare-breed sheepskins. Regrettably, there is no longer a tanning industry left in this country and we are proud to support this small family run business in upholding this important traditional process of the past.
We have 3 different categories of sheepskin, detailed below, which vary greatly in terms of overall size and also in the length and crimp of wool.
Each skin is totally unique and if kept with a little care will last a lifetime.
